Sue
and I recently returned from 2 weeks of fun in the Sun at
2DIVE4. While we were there I dove in my "backyard"
every day. While returning from a local dive know as "The
Trench" I took a shallower path than usual and discovered
an interesting area. I have since dubbed it "Lobster
Ledges". It is a series of depressions spread over 100 ft
running east to west, with ledges and overhangs all around the
edges of the depressions. This is all located in just 20 ft of
water. At the time I discovered it I did not have sufficient air
to explore it but returned later that day on snorkel and really
had a ball. On that single snorkel trip I found a nurse shark, 3
lobster, 2 turtles and tons of various fish. This is quite a
place. One of the coolest things about
it is that nobody else goes there. That is except for guests of
2DIVE4. I have complete directions and dive maps for all the
local dives, and now directions to "Lobster Ledge". A
story about my night dive on Lobster Ledges next week.

I
am proud to introduce Reynold Phillip or just
Phillip as he prefers to be addressed. Phillip is our property

Currently
Dave, Sue and the Bouchers are visiting 2DIVE4. Chris Boucher is
diligently painting new murals on the walls (photos when we
return) and getting certified to scuba dive (I am sure more
photos). When we are not diving, visiting the natural pool, or
relaxing in the villa we are here. The beach at 2DIVE4.
It is just a 15 second walk out of the dive station to the sandy
areas. When people inquire about our beach I explain that it is
a "rocky beach". Therefore, it is nice and private.
However, it definitely has very sandy spots that are great for
building castles, burying people or just getting some sun.
On the other hand when you don't mind sharing the beach a bit,
and you desire a lot of sand Cane Bay beach is just 1/2 mile
down the road.

St.
Croix is legendary for it's natural beauty. My second favorite
item of natural beauty on the island is the natural pool. From
2DIVE4 it is a 5 minute drive to Carambolla resort then a 30
minute hike thru scenic vistas and across a secluded beach. A
bit of scrambling is required over some rocks to actually get
into the pool so be sure to wear adequate foot covering. Oh, and
what is my favorite item of natural beauty? You guessed it!

This
web site has been over 2 years in the making, all in order to
get the word out about the great new villa on St. Croix called
2DIVE4. Well, I am happy to report that all of the work is
finally paying off and the bookings are rolling in. These diving
enthusiasts will be traveling to the tropics from Canada and
were kind enough to forward this great photo to me. Check this
site often and you will see more of our guests as they enjoy
paradise. More importantly, to get your photo on here email pfgmickley@aol.com
and make your reservation now. What are you waiting for, the
snow to melt? |

While
scuba diving in the hot tub is not suggested, using a bucket as
a diving bell can work as shown in this photo. 2DIVE4's spa is
automatically heated to 106 degrees, seats 6 people, and
includes a light as well as adjustable massaging aerated jets.
This is the perfect place to warm up after a dive or to just
relax while watching the pelicans perform their aerial
maneuvers. Since the hot tub is elevated, bathers enjoy a
panoramic view of the sea and a jumping off point for entering
the 10 ft deep heated pool.

You
may have seen the commercials with the bronzed buff man and
woman using resistance training to improve their physiques.
Well, now you can use some of your vacation time to begin or
continue a regular work out program. And when you are done using
the equipment, it folds up and rolls into the closet. You then
have plenty of room to open up the queen size pullout bed or
prop your feet up on the desk while you send a e-mail on your
lap top. The Bowflex is available for use by our guests at a
nominal fee. Click here for more photos .

Fun!
Fun! Fun! After a day of touring the island, diving or reading a
book on the beach, there is nothing like settling in for some
serious game time at home. Whether it is a game of scrabble or
some fun in the games room, 2DIVE4 is
the place to be.

We
have had a lot of well-wishing visitors at 2DIVE4. In fact, this
friendly neighbor dropped in unexpectedly one day and took a
tour of the grounds. We found out that his name is Popeye. You
may get to meet Popeye also when you visit 2DIVE4. He and his
friends teach fishing lessons all day for free. You just need to
pull up a chair on our terrace and "class is in
session". Or if you are especially lucky he may just walk
in on you! |

On
the vast majority of days in St. Croix the sun is shining and
the seas are calm. However, occasionally weather fronts come
through and make things a little more exciting. When this
happens it is time to break out the boogie boards and ride the
waves. |
