5/4/01
The West
boundary wall is progressing nicely while preparations are being made to
pour our bond beam in the next day or two. The bond beam will allow for
a very strong connection between the walls and the roof.
4/27/01
It's carnival
time so no work today, mon. However, they worked earlier
this week. This photo shows the newly constructed seawall and the walls
on the upper level. The openings on the lower level where the wood is
now will be filled with glass block eventually.
4/20/01
Much progress
has been made since our departure a week ago. The walls are going up
quickly and the West boundary wall has been started. Glouster expects to
be started on the roof in the next week or two.

Dave and
Nelson visited St. Croix and took this photo of the block walls going

The concrete
for the main floor is being pumped to fill the forms. This is the
largest single concrete pour for the project. Tomorrow Nelson and his
dad go to St. Croix to pick up their shipping container. Photos to
follow.
3/29/01
Final
preparation is made for the concrete pour of the main floor slab.
3/22/01
The upper
floor foundation nears completion while preparation is made to pour the
main floor slab.
3/13/01
The lower
level walls have been poured and the forms removed. This gentlemen
is standing inside what will be one of our 3 cisterns.
3/6/01
The lower
level floor has been poured and the frames are up to pour the lower
level walls.
