Marine Life and Reef Conditions
There are so many fish to see and photograph that the challenge of identifying them can be addictive. This page shows some of our more photogenic St. Croix neighbors. To see more why not take the fish quiz. You can check your answers at the end.

Marine Life
According to the Reef Environmental Education Foundation (R.E.E.F.) database, the U.S.V.I. boasts a robust 284 species of marine life. Hawksbill and green turtles are frequent dive companions with an occasional leatherback making an appearance. Moray eels and southern sting rays are common. Less common are the Caribbean reef sharks and the spotted eagle rays.

 Reef Conditions
St. Croix's reefs are healthy, colorful and exciting. The hard corals are as healthy as those in 90% of the Caribbean and equal to many other dive destinations. Thanks to all the plankton, soft corals are abundant.
